Braintree District Museum
It's a rainy day. We went to Braintree District Museum. The museum presents the timeline of Braintree area, focusing on archaeology, industry, craftsmanship and the father of Natural History, John Ray. It was very nice museum. Especially we enjoyed looking around the old schoolroom. This building used to be Manor Street School, which was completed in 1862. The most interesting thing was a desk with a hole for ink. It's distinctive characteristic of Western style. My husband said he had used the same desk when he was young. Wherever you are, a schoolroom fills you with nostalgia.
