Strolling in Colchester
It was a nice early autumn Saturday. We went to Colchester without any apparent purpose but to wander around aimlessly. We found a nice cafe and had a break. We also browsed some shops and wandered around new places.
We walked around a church and found a squirrel was eating rubbish popcorn in the churchyard. It was a quite funny scene. And also we visited the contemporary art gallery "firstsite" near the town. I remembered a woman I met at a cafe in Colchester last year talking about this gallery and recommended me to visit, which opened in 2011. There is a wonderful Mosaic which was found in the location.
The garden of Colchester castle is always beautiful. I found many people enjoyed sunbathing with end-of-summer melancholy feeling. On the pond, there was an new attraction of a big balloon. A boy inside the big balloon on the water was struggling to stand up and walking like a marmot or hamster. It seemed very interesting.
Every time we visit Colchester, we make a new discovery about places and shops. It was a really nice Saturday strolling.
