Woodbridge
We went to Woodbridge for a break. Woodbridge is an historic market town. We passed the Woodbridge station several times before, when we went to other towns. Since then, Woodbridge had been one of the places I wanted to visit. I like Woodbridge. It's a lovely and attractive town along the River Deben. I excited walking around the town centre. There are a lot of local shops includes antiques, crafts, boutiques and violin studio, more than I expected!
We popped in St. Mary's Church. Nobody was there. It was so quiet and had an aura of mystery.
There is Woodbridge Museum. We wanted to go in to know much more about the history of Woodbridge, but unfortunately it was closed on that day...
Victorian water pump (1876) was in market square.
As we walked along the street, a something unique building caught our eyes. It's the16th century pub 'Ye Olde Bell & Steelyard', which has the large box-like structure hangs off the front of the building. http://www.yeoldebellandsteelyard.co.uk/index.php/history/
I forgot to take photos of shopping street, because I was busy browsing and shopping:)
After we had a nice lunch, we walked along the River Deben. It was so nice.
