Conquer Yama-dera

When the big mouse visited small mouse in Japan at the first time, we visited Yama-dera together. Yama-dera is a popular destination in Yamagata, Japan. It literally means 'mountain temple'. A inner sanctuary is located on the top of cliff. There are over a thousand stone steps to the summit.

Yama-dera is also well-known as a famouse Matsuo Basho's haiku poet (1689).

I've been there several times, it's so nice place. After we climbed a lot, I lied to the big mouse, 'it's still in the middle'. 'Really??' He looked so tired. Actually the goal was there. I was sorry for the big mouse, the stone stairs were narrow and steep for him who has a big feet and hard to step

There is a shop on the mountain, so you can buy drinks, but it cost almost double than usual price.

He said he conquered the mountain and became zen master. There are many places like Yama-dera in the world.
