Indian Summer

It has been nice hot weather here, and some beaches like Brighton were busy during this weekend. This kind of autumn heatwave is also called "Indian summer" in the UK. Indian??? It's said that the origin of this word comes from the North American Indians (native Americans), because their lives used to depend on the weather; sunny weather at this time of the year was valuable for them to complete their harvest and get ready for the cold winter. It's interesting, isn't it?
