Slit-Mouthed Woman
Kuchisake-onna (Slit-Mouthed Woman) is a Japanese urban legend. If you are asked 'Am I pretty?' by an unknown Japanese woman who covers her mouth with a surgical mask, you had better to be careful. According to the legend, if you answer 'no', she will kill you. If you answer 'yes', she removes her mask to show her awfully slit mouth and asks you again 'How about now?' And if you answer no or scream, she will kill you. If you answer yes, she will follow you to kill you at night. Whichever, it's impossible to run away from her. To avoid this, it is said that some people gave her confusing answers or shook her off wisely...
There is no smoke without fire. In fact, there are some traditional legends about her in the past and also it caused panic in some towns when the rumours of alleged sightings were spread.
Why am I talking about Kuchisake-onna, because I have an inflammation of the corner of the mouth now. It reminded me of her, but at least I am not that woman. :)
