Wimpy

Wimpy is the brand name of a chain of fast-food hamburger restaurants in the UK, which was created in the 1930s. The first Wimpy Bar was established in Coventry Street, London, and by 1970 the business had internationally expanded to over one thousand Wimpy stores. Amazingly, Wimpy was the first overseas fast-food chain to open in Japan. The first branch opened in 1970 in Osaka, but they withdrew from Japan in 1998. My bf say taste is not good and doesn't recommend it, so I've never tasted it. They have decreased in numbers in the UK, and seems like they are not able to compete successfully with McDonalds, Burger King etc... However, Wimpy is re-branding and refreshing all its restaurants and also is improving its menu.
