A Walk Round The Naze

We travelled to Walton-on-the-Naze to walk the Naze. The Naze is a peninsula north of the town, and it has a nature reserve which is important for migrating birds. At first, we walked along the beach and went to the tower. In total it's about 6 miles.

It was the second time to visit the tower for me. I love this tower because it is full of character and charm. Even in it's a narrow space, it has all the function as a cafe, a gallery of local artists, a shop, a small museum of fossils and the Naze history, and an observation tower.

As I mentioned before, I am scare of heights though...

This view shows our today's destination; the nature reserve. We walked along a field edge.

The Naze is threatened by rapid natural eroding. It's very visible and you can see the damage of the cliff near the sea. Now, the Protection Society has had a campaign for erosion controls. And it is said that within 50 years the cafe near the Naze Tower may have tumbled into the sea...

Anyway, we headed towards the nature reserve.

It was a really nice and peaceful view. We could confirm some birds as well.

We could see the tower we climbed up all the time. It looked far away.

It was a bit of a windy day, but nice weather for walk. We are happy with what we've done in three weeks in row.
