A Courteous Life

Being in my 40's, I want to have a courteous life. It doesn't mean to have disciplined life like troops but a more natural and simple life. Also I want to put my hand in everything as much as I can. For example;
  • cook meal rather than buy a ready-meal. Sometimes be careful in selecting the freshness of the products, and enjoy a sense of the season.
  • don't buy things, more than is necessary, just because of it's cheapness. Search your favourites and buy them with consulting your wallet. Even it takes a time to find one, you should enjoy that process. Reduce possessions, but live with your favourites. Add your extra handmade to your life.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, but must not cut corners on balance and fashion-consciousness.
  • Grow plants, you may have the satisfaction of being part of the earth.
In a modern life, it's difficult to appreciate every day, but to reduce possessions and to live with your favourites make you help to devote a lot of attention to your possessions, such as dinnerware, house and garden. I think if you are observant of small things in your life, it would be a more simple, healthy and courteous life. Such a life may be good to your mind as well.
